Jenico Heavy Duty Dog Leash Review
We really bought it, we really tried it, here is our Jenico Heavy Duty Dog Leash Review
Description of Product: Jenico Heavy Duty Dog Leash is sold in various sizes from 3ft up to 150 ft. It is heavy duty, reflective and has a short bungee at the end that you hook up to your dog, it also has a heavy-duty handle.
Our Experience: We bought the 50ft version of the Jenico Heavy Duty Dog Leash, we intended to use this for training and also to let our youngest puppy run around with the older dogs when we were on off leash. If I could describe this product in one word, it would be durable. This truly is a heavy-duty leash but to the point where it makes it a bit tough to handle. This leash is great for use in the yard while working on training for recall, but it was too heavy to use on hikes or walks because we had a hard time coiling it up in our hands. It also is a bit heavy on our young pup as well. Also, the handle on the Jenico Heavy Duty Dog Leash was a bit hard to hold on to as well.
Overall, this does meet its advertised intention as a heavy-duty dog leash, but I would stick with a small size or just using it for yard training and go with a lighter weight option if you have a smaller dog or are looking to be able to coil this up and hold it in your hand on hikes.

I purchased your 20ft leash in orange from Amazon……came in the mail today. Couldn’t wait to try it out and my dog would have more freedom!!!! I clipped his collar and off we go, to my dismay the clasp had no spring but to my dogs delight it was “freedom”. I’m lucky he was not hit by a car. His other name is flight risk so need I say more. 45 minutes later he came home. It could have been worse than just an anxious dog mom or crying child.
Hi Donna,
Glad everything worked out! I’ve had a similar situation when my dog was on the 50 ft version, if I am not paying attention and he starts running, I brace myself for when he gets to the end of the rope and I need to be holding on tight. I make him wear a harness when we are training with the rope so that he doesn’t get jerked back by his neck. I’ll update the review of the product so that others can be ready! On a side note, my leash did come with a detachable spring section, you should see if yours came with one or contact the seller if not.
Thank you for the feedback!
Sincerely,
